Not closing leads? You’re probably sick of receiving a contact form through your website from someone who seemed really interested in your product or services, but then you never hear from them again.

It can be confusing and frustrating as a small business owner.

Especially when your heart leaps every time you get that notification in your emails that a lead came through!

I was recently working with a personal chef who has a food questionnaire on her website that people can fill out to start a personal chef service. It asks them things like their dietary preferences, number of servings they want, how many meals a week, etc.

People who fill out this questionnaire obviously have a fairly serious interest in the service if they’re taking the time to fill it out.

Well fast forward to my coaching client and how frustrated she felt…

She was getting all of these questionnaires in, but when she went to email or call these hot leads, she couldn’t get a hold of them. How strange right?

I’m sure this has happened to you more times than you’d like to admit with your own leads.

Follow up can be a HUGE PAIN IN THE BUTT.

I worked with this coaching client to evaluate her follow up and I came up with a new idea. I suggested that she tried TEXTING these leads after emailing and phone calls weren’t effective.

At first she was a bit hesitant, after all, would people be turned off by this approach and think it’s not very professional?

She tried it despite her initial hesitation and guess what? IT WORKED!!! She closed a lead the first time she tried it.
