I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving full of great food and time with family! Being that it’s the season of gratitude, I wanted to take a moment and talk about the power of having gratitude in business. Gratitude is not typically viewed as a fundamental foundation for running a business, but it can does wonders and have a powerful impact on your business.
For example, showing gratitude for your employees in your business ignites a fire in them to continue doing a great job because their efforts are being recognized. It feels good to be appreciated. In turn, your business benefits since your employees are putting forth a greater effort. It also helps you maintain talented employees that otherwise might work for other employers but choose to stay with you because you go the extra mile and express sincere gratitude for their work.
The same goes for your clients. Do you take the time to show your gratitude to them? After all, you couldn’t be successful without them! Have you offered a special discount or service for a long-time client to reward their loyalty? Showing gratitude goes a long way and can help your business in the long run. Doesn’t it feel great when a client just raves about your food and thanks you for improving their lives? I know it motivates me to keep doing what I do when clients show me gratitude in return.
Science shows that people who are grateful are happier and if you’re a happier person you are naturally going to attract more clients!
